This is the botton of London Road, the bus shelter on the left is where my
brother Peter & I would catch the 156 - 157 or 159 to go to St Richards
School, Bexhill On Sea. From our home 105 Quebec road Hollington, we would
have to get the 133 bus to Silverhill then get the 141 to christchurch,
London Road. This was in 1961 - 1965 for me & 1963 - 1967 for Peter. At the
time this picture was taken my Dear mother & father were not born. When i
was 7 - 8yrs old, I remember the number 11 trams that ran from the top of
Battle Road to town, Wonderful childhood memories of my dear childhood home
& birth place Hastings. from Edmund Lynskey
